Offered as a courtesy to users, this system provides case information and status for Michigan Court of Appeals cases filed from the mid-1980's to the present. Case information is updated nightly, but users should note that entry of documents on the docket may be delayed for reasons that include internal processing procedures and staffing issues.

The Case Information System enables users to retrieve information on appellate cases filed in the Michigan Court of Appeals or Michigan Supreme Court that are available for public viewing. Please note that the information contained within this system is not necessarily a full and complete history of all Court of Appeals files, and should not be used for 'Background Check' purposes.

Searches for Court of Appeals case information can be initiated by supplying a docket number, a party name, or attorney information. Case information will usually include links to unpublished Court of Appeals opinions issued since July 1996, Michigan Supreme Court opinions and published Court of Appeals opinions issued since January 2001, and Court of Appeals orders issued after January 1, 2005.
